An investigation is underway after a serious collision in Leeds.

Police were called to Boggart Hill Crescent yesterday tea time, a car and a electrically powered bike had collided.

An 18 year old suffered serious head injuries, he's being treated in hospital.

A Police statement said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and an electrically powered bicycle in Leeds

"Officers from the Roads Policing Unit would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of the incident on Boggart Hill Crescent in Leeds yesterday tea time (Tuesday 7 July).

"It took place at about 5.10pm after a black electric powered Calibre cycle was in collision with a white Vauxhall Corsa. Both vehicles had been heading in opposite directions when the incident occurred.

"The bike rider, an 18-year-old boy, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital where he continues to be treated."
