An investigation is underway after a collision in Dewsbury.

Police say they were called in the early hours of this morning to the junction with Slaithwaite Road and Lees Hall Road.

A Police statement said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle failed to stop for officers in Dewsbury.

"A pursuit was authorised on Denby Dale Road in the early hours of this morning. (14 May)

"The vehicle a white Citroen C3 was then in collision with a black Lexus driven by a member of the public at 2.43am on Slaithwaite Road at the junction with Lees Hall Road.

"No injuries were reported from the driver of the Lexus.

"Three occupants in the Citroen were taken to hospital, two were treated for minor injuries whilst a man aged 30, suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

"Officers from the roads policing unit are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed or who may have dashcam footage of the Citroen prior to the collision to come forward.

"Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision."
