Police name 77 year old killed in Hemsworth crash as witness appeal launched
It's after a car hit a tree on Pontefract Road this morning
Police have named a 77 year old woman killed in a crash in Hemsworth this morning.
Joan Bell was behind the wheel of a Ford KA which left Pontefract Road and collided with a tree between 8:38am and 8:45am.
The vehicle was travelling southbound at the time, with Joan being pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness appeal has been launched with anyone with information being urged to contact police on 101.
