Huddersfield Town have made their second signing of the summer, with winger Marcus Harness joining on a free transfer after departing Ipswich Town.

The 29 year old has put pen to paper on a three year deal and will join up with the West Yorkshire side in pre-season.

He's the second addition to the Terriers squad after midfielder Ryan Ledson signed last week.

Starting his career at Coventry City, Harness has spent time at Burton Albion and Portsmouth, before joining Ipswich before they secured back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League.

Speaking to the Huddersfield Town website, Harness said:

“I got a call from Lee Grant after he got the Manager job at Huddersfield Town, he told me about the Club and the direction that it’s going in and everything going on that I wasn’t aware of.

“I know how he works, so it was a no-brainer for me – I was sold early on. I’m sure he’s going to do a great job here and I’m going to do my best to try and help that.

“We have had a lot of conversations over the last week, and it seems like a great fit; I’m really excited to be here.”
