Man and boy, 13, due in court over Harehills rioting

Both stand accused of violent disorder

A man and a 13 year old boy are due in court today charged with offences connected to the rioting in Harehills, Leeds last summer.

59 year old Robert Lockwood will appear before Leeds Magistrates Court charged with arson and violent disorder.

A 13 year old boy from Harehills, who can't be named for legal reasons, will appear charged with violent disorder.

All of the offences are said to have happened on the evening of July 18th, where crowds confronted police before overturning a police vehicle.

A bus was later set on fire.

More than 40 arrests have been made so far in connection to the disorder, with fifteen charged and five sentenced.
