Four people have been sentenced after an investigation into the supply of drugs in east Leeds.

Operation Angelford started in May 2023 when police searched the home of Christopher Laking on Ramshead Drive in the Seacroft area of Leeds.

Over £14k in cash was found within the address and Laking and two other men were arrested.

Laking’s devices were seized and enquiries into his phone and banking material found evidence that he had been operating a drugs line.

The investigation continued and in December 2025 further warrants were executed at Laking’s home as well as addresses on Inglewood Drive and Skelwith Walk linked to Jordan Parker and Chris Wilson.

Laking, Parker and Luke Cockerill were arrested from Laking’s address where a number of expensive items, including jewellery, were seized due to them being suspected to have been purchased with the proceeds of crime.

The Inglewood Drive address was found to be uninhabited and utilised as a drugs stash. Inside officers found over £13k worth of cocaine and over £17k worth of cannabis. A further £2,850 worth of cocaine was located in the Skelwith Walk property.

Further phone enquiries showed evidence of a ring and bring drugs service with Laking appearing to be in charge and Wilson and Cockerill assisting.

Sergeant Kody Bradley, of Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“This has been a long-standing investigation by the neighbourhood policing team to link all four of these individuals to this drug dealing operation. Drug supply causes significant harm in our communities, often exploiting already vulnerable people.

"Some of this group claimed to be unemployed, but it was clear they had a healthy income, just not by legitimate means. During the course of this investigation we have seized a significant quantity of drugs, ensuring they were taken out of the supply chain, as well as seizing cash and other assets from the group.

“We are determined to show that crime such as this does not pay. In addition to the sentences handed down today we will also be pursuing the assets they have gained through this criminality as part of a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing at a later date.”
