Four-time Super League winning coach Brian McDermott has been appointed as the new boss of England's men's Rugby League side.

He'll take charge of his country for the World Cup in Australia later this autumn.

McDermott is the most successful coach in Super League history having won eight major trophies with the Leeds Rhinos in the past.

He takes over from Shaun Wane, who stepped down in January.
