Yorkshire County Cricket Club have announced the signing of Pakistan international Faheem Ashraf for the T20 Blast and County Championship seasons.

The 32 year old replaces Australian Will Sutherland, who had to cut his time with the club short through injury.

All-rounder Ashraf has played 17 test matches for his home country, along with 85 T20s.

Domestically he has played for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League.

Speaking to the YCCC website, Ashraf said, “I’m delighted to be joining Yorkshire. Many of my fellow Pakistan players have represented the Club and have spoken highly of both the environment and the quality of players within the squad.

“I’m really looking forward to arriving at Headingley.”
