Police say they're continuing their search for a missing Bradford woman, after receiving a report of a potential sighting on the day she went missing.

52 year old Jane Hiles was last seen in Apperley Bridge last month, with her officially being reported missing at 7:40am on February 24.

She was potentially seen in Buck Wood in Thackley between 11.15am and 1.30pm the same day.

Officers are conducting further searches in the area where she was potentially sighted, as well as underwater searches around the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Items belonging to Jane were previously discovered on the riverbank near Apperley Road.

Jane is described as white, slim, 5ft 4ins tall, with blonde, short spikey hair, wearing a long black coat.

Detective Inspector Rachel McKay, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “We are continuing to support Jane’s family and keep them updated while our searches to find her are progressing.

“We are working with our specialist search advisers and other partners, such as mountain rescue volunteers, to continue our searches of the land and waterways in the area.

“The possible sighting in Buck Wood, Thackley, on the day she went missing is unconfirmed, but we would like to hear from anyone who has seen her in that area or anywhere else in the vicinity.”
