Bradford drug dealer jailed
A significant quantity of heroin and crack cocaine were seized from a car
A Bradford drug dealer who was involved in a drugs line operating between Keighley, North Yorkshire, and Lancashire has been jailed.
Officers from Operation Phoenix, West Yorkshire Police’s county lines taskforce, received information that a mobile number was being used for drugs supply. Text messages showed drugs sold by the ‘Jake Line’ linked to Iyaz Iqbal.
On Tuesday February 10th, 2026, a warrant was executed by Police at Iqbal’s home address in Keighley. Officers found a significant amount of drugs and cash at the property.
Four mobile phones, one of which was the confirmed dealer line, were recovered along with cannabis, steroids, another phone, and cash amounting to £1727.50.
A large wooden baseball bat was also located behind the front door.
A vehicle was identified on the street, and officers seized a significant quantity of heroin and crack cocaine from within the vehicle, worth more than £15,000.
Iyaz Iqbal, aged 37, of Whin Knoll Avenue, Keighley pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Wednesday 27 August at Bradford Crown Court to 54 months imprisonment for being concerned in supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of criminal property and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Detective Inspector Helen Chapman, who heads Operation Phoenix, said:
“The supply of drugs fuels further criminality and violence in our communities and brings misery to the lives of individual users and their families.
"Operation Phoenix will continue to take a proactive approach to disrupting and dismantling county lines drug dealing.”
