Woman loses finger after being attacked with plank of wood in Bradford

The woman in her 20s had to have a finger amputated after the incident last month

A woman has lost a finger after being attacked with a plank of wood in an assault in Bradford.

The incident happened between 10:30pm and 11pm on September 19, on Harrogate Road near Eccleshill Community Hospital.

The victim, in her 20s, was with another woman when a man pulled up in a car and started shouting at them.

He then got out and struck the victim in the hand with the plank.

Since has since had to undergo an amputation.

Police are still trying to find the man involved. He is described as white, middle aged, bald and around 5ft 10ins tall.

He was driving a navy coloured five door car which was possibly a Skoda.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Harrogate Road or Summerbridge Road at the time of the assault and who captured dashcam footage is being urged to contact police.
