Teesside businesses benefitting from the hot weather
There's a rise in demand with more people heading to the seaside
We're hearing how businesses in Teesside are benefitting from the hot weather due to an increase in demand.
They say it's getting busier every year with more people heading to the seaside both locals and tourists.
Lisa Elliot, an ice cream assistant at Gelato JoJo's in Seaton Carew, said: "Weather is a big part in what goes on. Sales wise, really busy on good days, but also rainy days can be quite busy as well because we're open quite late on the night as well, people come quite late for waffles and things like that.
"Every year gets busier. Word gets out and people like to come back and visit and we get people from right round the area that come every week as well. People travel from places like Sunderland and come down every week for ice creams and drinks and things."
