Teen charged after he was found with drugs, blade and cash in Hemlington

A teenager has been charged after being spotted on an off-road bike, with drugs, blade and cash, by an officer with a drone.

Around 2:10pm on Friday (2nd January), a 16-year-old boy was detained by police after Middlesbrough Neighbourhood team officers spotted him on an off-road bike in the Hemlington area.

When stopped, he was allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of class A drugs including crack cocaine, cocaine and cannabis, a lock knife and a large quantity of cash.

Officers also believe he was disqualified from driving, and failed a roadside drugs wipe.

The male was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of a bladed article in a public place, possession of a class B controlled drug, driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and no insurance.
