Stokesley Charity Bike Ride to raise money for Zoe's Place
More than 200 cyclists are gathering to take part in the event today
More than 200 cyclists from across Teesside are taking part in Stokesley's Charity Bike Ride today to raise money for charity.
The route goes around the North Yorkshire countryside and starts from the market square in Stokesley at 10am with sign-on from 9am.
It's all in aid of Zoe's Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough.
Stockton Wheelers are the organisers and said: "We're delighted to be supporting and organising this year's Stokesley Charity Bike Ride. The route, as always, meanders gently through the North Yorkshire countryside over 30 miles, providing enough interest from the seasoned cyclist and plenty of challenges for the novice.
"Each year we ride in support of a local charity and for 2026 we have chosen Zoe's Place Baby Hospice. This is an outstanding charity with a hospice based in Middlesbrough supporting babies and young children who have life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, from birth to age five. The hospice offers respite, palliative and end of life care for children, as well as support for the whole family.
"The entry fee for this year's event is £20 with entry being payable by card or cash on the day only. Anything raised will be given to Zoe's Place and will be used to amazing effect. Sponsorship monies can be paid directly into the Just Giving page.
"This ride has proved very popular over the years with in excess of 200 riders each year. Hopefully, we can continue with another successful event, where everybody has a great time and an amazing charity receives some invaluable funding from the event."
