Police at the scene in Grangetown after man is attacked
The 20-year-old is in hospital with lacerations to his face and leg
Cleveland Police has confirmed that officers are at the scene in Grangetown after a man was attacked.
Police have been at Tennyson Avenue and Birchington Avenue after officers responded to a call from ambulance service colleagues shortly before 1 this morning (25th July).
Officers say they were reporting that a 20-year-old man had been attacked by unknown suspects. The victim suffered lacerations to his face and leg and is receiving hospital treatment for what are not currently believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Initial enquiries suggest the suspect or suspects were on a quadbike or dirt bike and police are appealing for anyone with any relevant doorbell, dash cam or private CCTV from either location or from the wider Grangetown area to get in touch.
It's currently being treated as a targeted incident and officers will remain in the area conducting further enquiries whilst providing public reassurance.
