Teesside dancers set for Britain’s Got Talent final
Students from Stockton, and Hartlepool among finalists after golden buzzer moment
Four young dancers from the North East are set to take the stage in the final of Britain's Got Talent this weekend.
Brooke Ferrand from Teesside, Kai Woodhead from Cleveland, Freya Bowes from Stockton, and Faith Green from Hartlepool will perform as part of the 66-member dance collective Sadeck Berrabah & LMA.
The group secured their place in the final following a standout golden buzzer performance during the ITV show's live semi-finals.
The dance collective, consisting of students from Liverpool's creative arts institution LMA, captivated audiences with their synchronised routine described by judge Simon Cowell as “gobsmackingly beautiful.” Alesha Dixon also praised the performance as “a breath of fresh air” before advancing the act to the final stage.
Launching Newcastle Campus
This opportunity coincides with a significant moment for the North East, as LMA is set to open its brand new Newcastle campus this September.
The expansion aims to provide high-level creative training and industry opportunities for young people across the region.
LMA, known for its industry-led creative education, operates campuses in Liverpool and London, specialising in various creative fields such as Dance, Music, Film, and Creative Business Management.
Poised for Performance
Faith Green, who will graduate from LMA Liverpool later this summer, expressed enthusiasm for the final as a pivotal moment for the North East's dance talent.
Faith said, “We’re really excited for this amazing opportunity. We’re really excited to get out there and show everyone what we can do.”
Teesside performer Brooke Ferrand shared that the group is preparing a fresh performance for Saturday night’s final.
“We’re super grateful for the opportunity and we’re so ready to do LMA proud.”
She added, “Expect something really big and exciting. This is something we haven’t done before and we can’t wait.”
The dancers will compete for a chance to perform at this year's Royal Variety Performance and secure the show's £250,000 prize.
LMA Newcastle is scheduled to officially open in September 2026, with applications now open for various creative courses.
