Music fans flock to Stockton for an Easter all-dayer
Stockton Calling confirmed for 2027
Thousands of music enthusiasts gathered in Stockton town centre for the annual Stockton Calling festival, which took place over Easter weekend.
Venues across the town were buzzing with live performances, as fans moved between ARC, KU, The Georgian Theatre, The Social Room, and more, searching for the latest exciting acts.
Organisers have already announced that Stockton Calling will return on Saturday, 27th March 2027 and tickets are currently available for the event.
This year’s line-up featured a mix of established names and emerging talents from the North East and beyond.
Highlights included indie favourites Hard-Fi’s performance at ARC, hometown heroes Young Rebel Set delivering an emotional set at KU, and fast-rising acts like The Molotovs and Pit Pony captivating crowds with their powerful sounds.
Guitarist Andy Parmley of Young Rebel Set said: “Playing Stockton Calling always means a lot to us. There’s something special about seeing the town full of people moving between venues and just getting behind live music. You could feel that energy in the room tonight. It’s what this scene is all about.”
Chris Cobain from Tees Music Alliance noted the event's progression over the years, while Jimmy Beck of KU Promotions described the excitement felt across town.
Now in its 15th year, Stockton Calling continues to champion grassroots music, providing a platform for budding artists and hosting established acts in intimate settings.
Over 60 artists performed throughout the day, showcasing the diversity of the UK’s current music scene alongside thriving local talent.
Chris Cobain added: “The support we’ve seen this year has been incredible. We don’t take it for granted. The festival belongs to the people who come along, support the bands, and create that atmosphere. We’re already looking ahead to next year and can’t wait to do it all again.”
With the 2027 festival already in the works, fans can anticipate another memorable event with a line-up promising to impress.
