Attempted murder charge after man is found in a Southbank car park

A 36-year-old man was arrested and questioned in police custody before he was charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday 1 October.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and has been released on conditional bail.

The charge relates to a man, aged 33, found in a car park on Graham Street – also known as Millbank Street at the junction of Middlesbrough Road near to the underpass on Sunday 21 September. He is currently in hospital in a critical condition.
