Hartlepool United are searching for a new head coach after Lee Clark resigned.

His departure followed the National League club's 3-1 home defeat to Worthing earlier today (Saturday 19th September 2026).

Hartlepool suffered a sixth defeat in nine games .

The club have wished him every success for the future and say a further update will provided in due course.

This statement was released by a Hartlepool United spokesperson:

"Hartlepool United Football Club can confirm that Lee Clark has resigned from his position as Head Coach with immediate effect.

"We would like to thank Lee for his service during his time at the club and wish him every success for the future.

"A further update will be provided in due course."
