Three arrested after Hartlepool protest leads to assault and property damage

Police in Hartlepool have arrested three more individuals following two separate incidents where large groups gathered, resulting in a man's assault and damage to a property.
The first incident occurred on 28th August when officers responded to reports of a gathering at a property claiming to be a peaceful protest.
During this event, a 29-year-old man was assaulted, racially abused, and robbed of his bag.
He received treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees, staying overnight.
The second incident took place around 12.30pm on 29th August, with officers called to a residence where windows were smashed by rocks and bricks, while children were inside the property.
Three men, aged 19, 23, and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery, violent disorder, criminal disorder, and using threatening behaviour.
Additionally, the 19-year-old faces charges for possession of a Class B drug.
All three suspects, along with a 54-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Superintendent Paul Richardson of Cleveland Police stated: "We will continue to arrest anyone suspected of causing disorder or committing violence in our communities."
