Nine arrests following investigation into Grangetown violence

Investigations into incidents in the area last week are ongoing

A man and a woman, both aged 23, were arrested on Monday 20 October.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm, arson, possession of firearm with intent to endanger life and criminal damage. The woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and money laundering.

Both are currently in police custody for questioning.

A 30-year-old man who was arrested at an address in Eston on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm, arson, criminal damage and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He continues to be questioned in police custody.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s who were arrested on Sunday 19 October, on suspicion of assisting an offender are also still in police custody for questioning.

A 27-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman who were arrested on Friday 17 October have been interviewed and have both been released on conditional bail.

A 27-year-old man who was arrested on Saturday 18 October has been questioned and released on conditional bail.

A 32-year-old man who was arrested on Friday 17 October has appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court today (Monday 20 October) and been remanded in custody until Monday 17 November.
