Swindon man dies after serious collision in Gloucestershire

A man from Swindon has died after a serious collision in Gloucestershire last night (25 June).
Emergency Services were called at around 6:55pm to a report that a black BMW S 1000 RR Sport motorbike had collided with a wall outside the Red Lion pub on London Road in Ampney St Peter.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, treated at the scene by paramedics but passed away from his injuries.
Police say his next of kin have been informed.
The pillion passenger of the motorbike, a man aged in his late teens and also from Swindon, was assessed by paramedics and taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon for treatment to serious injuries.
Several roads between Ampney St Peter and Poulton were closed while a collision investigation took place but have since reopened.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
