RIAT campsite plans include live music and World Cup final screening
Permission sought for premises licence to enhance camper experience at air show
Attendees at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) this July could find themselves enjoying the World Cup final alongside live music and refreshments at the newly established 700-pitch campsite at Marston Meysey.
Following permission granted by Wiltshire Council in December for the campsite, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises is now seeking a premises licence to offer additional entertainment options.
The organisers aim to provide live music between 5pm and 10.30pm from Friday to Sunday (17th-19th July) and serve alcohol during designated times, allowing Swindon-based Fandango to manage the bar area.
A spokesperson for RIAT indicated that entertainment might include movie screenings and World Cup match viewings in a marquee.
The arrangement offers entertainment post-showground closure at 7pm, catering to aviation enthusiasts.
The World Cup final is set to kick off at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey at 8pm UK time.
The initiative prioritises a family-friendly atmosphere to create a vibrant summer holiday experience for campers.
With all pitches booked and a waiting list, RIAT looks forward to enriching visitor engagements as part of its celebrated aviation event.
