Motorcyclist suffers 'life changing injuries' in crash near Swindon tip
Emergency services responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a motorcycle just before 10am this morning
A biker has been left with potentially life changing injuries after a crash this morning near Swindon tip.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said "We responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a motorcycle just before 10am this morning (04/08) on Darby Close, Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, Swindon."
The motorcyclist, aged in his early 30s, has been taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries.
No arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09:53hrs on Tuesday 4 August to a road traffic collision in Swindon. We sent one double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Great Western Hospital.”
Swindon Borough Council released a statement saying "Access to the Household Waste & Recycling Centre is currently unavailable as Wiltshire Police have closed Darby Close following an incident."
"Residents with bookings today are encouraged to visit later, once access has been restored. Your original booking will still be valid."
