Man in his 70s arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Swindon
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on Downs View in Highworth
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder this afternoon following an incident on Downs View Road, Highworth.
It's understood a woman has been taken to hospital following the incident with serious injuries.
Detective Inspector Sean Tregunna said: "We do not believe there to be wider risk to the public and we are not looking for anyone else at this time in connection with the incident.
"You may see an increased police presence in the area while we carry out investigations and a cordon has been put in place."
