Man arrested after Swindon town centre burglaries
Police say a large amount of cash and alcohol were stolen during burglaries
A man has been arrested after reports of burglaries in Swindon town centre.
Wiltshire Police say shortly after midnight on January 29, Momo King in Havelock Street had its door smashed and alcohol stolen from inside before the offender returned and removed the cash till with a large amount of cash inside.
The force added that a short time later, the door was smashed at Redline Racing in Theatre Square and approximately £2,000 worth of items were stolen from inside.
Following enquiries, a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of three counts of burglary.
He remains in Gablecross custody for questioning.
