Major delays as M4 eastbound near Membury services shut due to crash

The eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Junction 15 for Swindon and Junction 14 for Wantage, is currently closed following a collision near Membury services in Berkshire, causing major traffic disruption.
Significant delays have been reported, with tailbacks stretching up to 3 miles and roughly 30 minutes added to journey times in the area.
Emergency services are on the scene working to manage the situation.
Traffic on the westbound carriageway may also be affected.
Authorities advise motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.

Thames Valley Police said: "We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the M4.
"Junction 15-14 on eastbound, near Membury services is shut.
"There are significant delays and growing tailbacks in the area, and traffic on the westbound carriageway may also be affected.
"Please avoid the area if possible and consider alternative routes while emergency services work at the scene.
