Investigation launched after motorcycle stolen and victim 'assaulted' in Swindon
A motorbike was stolen from the Walcot area this afternoon and later recovered by officers
An investigating is underway after a motorbike was stolen in Swindon and the victim reportedly assaulted with a weapon.
Police received a report at around 12:45pm this afternoon (March 3rd) that four unknown suspects on e-bikes had stolen a motorcycle - a red Ducati V4 from a property in the Walcot area and assaulted the victim with a weapon in the process.
Shortly after police received another report of the suspects pushing the stolen motorbike in Eldene Drive.
Responding officers recovered the motorcycle, but the suspects fled the scene on e-bikes.
Enquires are ongoing to identify those involved and police say they are described as wearing all black and in balaclavas.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery is being urged to contact police.
