Man charged following police pursuit

A teenager has been charged with multiple driving offences after a police pursuit in Swindon.

In the early hours of Thursday morning (12 June), Okeeffe failed to stop for officers before a pursuit ensued, culminating in a collision on the A419.

Tyler Okeeffe, 19, of Azalea Drive, Burbage, Leicestershire, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance, driving a motor vehicle without an MOT certificate and failing to stop for officers.

He appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning (14/06) where he was remanded into custody.

He is due to appear at Swindon Crown Court for a plea hearing on July 18.
