Thames Water specialist repair teams have fixed the burst main on Braydon Road, Swindon, after residents experienced issues with their water over the weekend.

Those with the postcodes SN4, SN5, SN6, and GL7 have faced problems with water supply or pressure, while a bottled water station was opened in a nearby Sainsbury's car park.

The repair team successfully managed to isolate the water leak and dug down to the damaged section of the pipework.

The vast majority of the area should now have their supply returned.

Some residents may still notice no water or low pressure which can happen when a water main bursts and air gets into the network.

As they stop and restart water flows during repairs, pockets of air may become trapped, which can temporarily restrict supply.

Some may also notice water looks a little different while things settle- Thames Water say this is normal and should clear quickly.

If you or someone you know needs extra support, Thames Water's free Priority Services Register can help them understand your situation so they can take it into account as best we can.
