Swindon Town have confirmed assistant manager Marcus Bignot has left the club by mutual agreement.

Bignot originally joined the coaching set up under former Head Coach Mark Kennedy in June 2024 and later continued his role within the backroom staff under current Manager Ian Holloway.

His move to Assistant Manager saw him renew ties with Holloway, having worked together previously at Queens Park Rangers during his playing days.

Swindon Town say the decision is part of a broader restructuring of Holloway's backroom team, as the club gears up for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign, aiming to focus on "refreshing the football department and aligning staff roles ahead of the new season."

Speaking on Marcus’s departure, Ian Holloway said: “Marcus has been a real positive influence since the moment, I walked through the door. His energy, professionalism, and commitment to the players and staff have been first class, and he leaves with nothing but our respect and gratitude.”

“Marcus goes with our full blessing, and I have no doubt he will be a huge asset wherever he goes next.”
