Appeal after child punched and kicked in Swindon park

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following a reported physical assault on a child in a Swindon park on Thursday 12 June

At about 8pm on Thursday 12th June, a 9-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle in a park in Eastern Avenue, Walcot, was approached by a teenager who racially abused him before punching him to the face and kicking him when he was on the ground.

The child was left with reddening to the ribs and a bleeding lip.

The suspect was described as a chubby white male, about 15-years-old who spoke with an Irish accent.

He had dark brown hair and brown eyes, was about 5ft 2in tall and was wearing an orange t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.
