A woman in her 60s is in hospital with serious injuries after a tree fell on her car in Guestling.

The incident occurred on Saturday, 6th June, shortly after 4pm.

Emergency services were called to White Hart Hill, Guestling, East Sussex, following the report of the tree collapse.

In a statement, Sussex Police said: "Emergency services were called to White Hart Hill in Guestling, East Sussex, shortly after 4pm on Saturday (6 June) to a report of a tree having fallen on a car.

"The driver, a woman in her 60s, has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

"The road has now reopened."
