Pensioner taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Hastings

An investigation is underway.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious crash in Hastings involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 17th February at approximately 8am on The Ridge near the junction with Grange Road.

A car reportedly collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the road at the time.

Emergency services responded, and the 66-year-old man involved was transported to the hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Police are actively conducting an investigation and pursuing different leads.

Officers are urging anyone who saw the collision or has relevant information, including CCTV, mobile, doorbell, or dashcam footage, to come forward.
