A 17-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash in Sussex yesterday afternoon (30th March).

The electric motorcycle the boy was riding was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van and a Nissan Micra on Burndell Road in Yapton.

Sussex Police said the van had been travelling northbound, while the Nissan Micra and the motorcycle were heading southbound.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the collision, while the driver of the van, a 29-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or has CCTV or dashcam footage showing the collision or of any of the vehicles involved in the minutes before it, to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting Op Greensand.
