Police have seized drugs, cash, and suspected stolen e-bikes and caravans, after warrants at a site near Horsham.

Officers from across West Sussex took part in the operation at the location in Kingfisher Farm outside Billingshurst on April 22.

It included officers from the Tactical Enforcement Unit, Specialist Enforcement Unit and Rural Crime Team.

Across West Sussex, officers have been tackling vehicle crime throughout April as part of a dedicated operation.

At Kingfisher Farm, four suspected stolen e-bikes worth thousands of pounds were seized by police and recovered.

Two suspected stolen caravans were also seized and removed from the site, while drugs and cash worth an estimated £6,000 was seized.

A 28-year-old man was arrested, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, burglary and being in control of a counterfeit bank note. He has been bailed, pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Lee Simmonds said: “This was a complex operation involving officers from across West Sussex Division.

“We understand the concerns that vehicle crime and stolen items cause for communities, and have been working on targeting serious and organised criminals through dedicated operations in April.

“These warrants uncovered suspected drug dealing and a suspect was taken into custody in connection with the ongoing investigation.

“We were able to locate and remove four e-bikes and two caravans from the site and work is ongoing to ensure these are returned to the original lawful owners.

“Our enforcement work demonstrates our determination to tackle vehicle crime and organised criminality, and to disrupt the supply of drugs which cause so much harm to our communities.

“We continue to tackle these issues every day of the year, and encourage anyone who has been impacted by vehicle crime to report incidents to Sussex Police online.”
