Crimestoppers boosts reward in search for answers in murder of Daniel and Liam Poole
Charity urges those with information to come forward anonymously
The charity Crimestoppers has increased its reward to £30,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murders of Daniel Poole, 46, and his son Liam, 22, from Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
The duo disappeared while on a trip to Spain on 31st March 2019, and despite significant investigative progress, their family continues to seek justice.
After arriving in Málaga, they hired a grey Peugeot 308, which was later found abandoned by Spanish Police.
Their luggage, including their passports, was discovered in their hotel room in Estepona.
Sussex Police reclassified the case as a murder investigation in 2022, leading to the arrest of two men from West Sussex and Merseyside in December 2024.
The renewed reward aims to gather final crucial details to identify and convict those responsible. Crimestoppers guarantees that those offering information can remain 100% anonymous.
The £30,000 reward will be available for information passed exclusively and anonymously to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murders of Daniel and Liam Poole.
Annabelle Goodenough, Crimestoppers Sussex Regional Manager, said: “Danny and Liam’s family have lived in uncertainty for almost seven years. They deserve to know what happened.
“The reward has been significantly increased to encourage anyone holding back to come forward. Even the smallest detail could make all the difference in finally bringing those responsible to justice.
“Please remember, when you get in touch with Crimestoppers, you stay completely anonymous. That means no comeback. We’ve kept our promise to guarantee anonymity since we were established over 38 years ago.”
Family member, Lauryn Poole said: “Not a day goes by when we don’t think about Danny and Liam. Living without answers has been agonising. We need to know the truth, for them and for our family’s peace of mind.
“If you know something, however small, please contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously. Your information could be the key to finally giving us justice we’ve waited almost seven years for.”
