Brighton man jailed for rape of 14 year old girl

The 37 year old has bee placed on the Sex Offenders' Register

A man from Brighton has been jailed for 15 years for the rape and sexual assault of a 14 year old girl.

Teo Tewson-Bozic, , of Buckingham Street, manipulated the trust of the young teenager before committing multiple acts of sexual abuse throughout 2024.

The victim bravely disclosed the abuse to her family, who subsequently alerted the police through her school.

The 37 year old faced various charges, including five counts of sexual activity with a child, four counts of assault by penetration, and two counts of rape.

During court hearings on 6th and 21st May 2025 at Lewes Crown Court, Tewson-Bozic admitted to sexual activity with the child but denied the other charges.

He was found guilty of all remaining offences at the same court.

As well as a lengthy prison sentence Tewson-Bozic was also handed a a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 25 years and registration on the Sex Offenders’ Register.

Detective Constable Holly Ronaldson commended the victim’s courage, saying, “The bravery of the victim was imperative to this case, and I commend her for that.

“My hope is that she will go on to have a happy future knowing she did the right thing coming forward to police.”

Ronaldson added, “The sentence of a 15 years custodial reflects the seriousness of Tewson-Bozic’s offending and I thank the Judge for her consideration when posing this sentence.”

Encouraging victims of sexual offences to come forward, Ronaldson said, “If you are a victim of sexual offending, please report it to the police. We will listen, we will support you and we will do everything we can to get you justice.”
