Serious crash on A27 leads to road closure in West Sussex

The A27 in West Sussex has been closed in both directions following a serious crashinvolving a motorcycle.
The collision happened shortly before 9pm on 23rd June and has led to significant disruptions between the A280 at Clapham and the A24 near Worthing.
Sussex Police are overseeing the situation with additional support from South East Coast Ambulance Service and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
The road is expected to remain closed for several hours while collision investigations are carried out.
Diversion Routes
Drivers should follow designated diversion symbols on road signs.
Eastbound travellers are advised to follow the ‘Hollow Diamond’ symbol, exiting at Clapham Interchange onto the A280, connecting to the A24 southbound, and rejoining the A27 at Offington Roundabout.
Westbound travellers following the ‘Hollow Triangle’ should take the A24 northbound at Offington Roundabout, take the A280 from Findon Roundabout to Clapham Interchange, and cross to rejoin the A27 from the roundabouts.
Allow extra journey time and consider alternative routes or delaying travel plans.
