Police appeal for witnesses after ambulance and car collision on A23
Two men arrested and further dashcam footage sought
Police are calling for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision involving a private ambulance and a grey Mercedes GLE on the A23 at Pease Pottage.
The incident occurred on 27th June around 7.30am on the northbound carriageway.
Investigators are keen to obtain footage of the Mercedes originating from Brighton.
Additionally, officers are appealing to the driver of a tipper truck, carrying a crane attachment, for information.
The ambulance crossed directly in front of the truck before overturning, though it was not carrying any patients.
Two of the three men in the Mercedes have been taken into custody.
A 24-year-old from Broadbridge Heath was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving unfit through drugs, lack of insurance, and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 29-year-old from Rudgwick was similarly arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, and drug driving.
Both suspects have since been released on bail, pending further inquiries.
