A public consultation on plans for expanding Heathrow airport will allow the people of Spelthorne and Runnymede to have their say.

The consultation will take place over the next eight weeks. The proposals include a new runway along with the associated airport, transport and construction infrastructure that would go with it.

There will be more than 20 in-person events in nearby towns and villages, as well as six online sessions, that residents can attend to view and discuss the proposals. They will also be able to ask questions to Heathrow representatives who specialise in areas such as noise, air quality and the environment.

The consultation will run until the 22nd of December. The feedback from the consultation will form part of the airport's ongoing engagement and environmental assessment work. A planning application is proposed for 2027.
