Man jailed for three years for attacking partner

A man from Worceter Park who attacked his partner right before she went into labour and wouldn’t let her get help, is now behind bars for three years.

James Billimore, who's thirty-four demanded his ex hide bruises so his crimes went un-noticed for years - before she says she found the strength to report him for their son's sake.

Investigating Officer Karis Hooke said, “This case represents one of the most severe forms of coercive control and physical abuse.

“The victim displayed immense bravery in reporting what had happened to her. Today’s sentence sends a clear message that domestic abuse in all its forms will be robustly pursued and prosecuted.”
