Two brothers from Epsom have been sentenced after attempting to throw cocaine from a car while being chased by police.

Tommy-Lee Bavin, 20, and Frankie Bavin, 27, were spotted by officers in Long Grove Road on 11 July last year driving a vehicle with incorrect registration details and no insurance.

When officers attempted to stop the car, it sped away towards Hook Road. During the pursuit, police saw a bag thrown from the passenger window containing cocaine worth an estimated £1,240 to £1,600.

Mobile phone evidence later linked the pair to drug supply activity.

Both men were arrested in September 2024 at their home addresses, where small amounts of cannabis were also found.

Tommy-Lee Bavin was sentenced to three years in a Young Offender Institution for drug supply offences.

Frankie Bavin received a two-year prison sentence suspended for two years and was ordered to pay more than £1,800.

Police said the pursuit put other road users at risk and warned they would continue targeting drug-related crime.
