Man charged in connection with serious assault in Aldershot

Victim hospitalised after incident on Victoria Road

A man has been charged following a serious assault that took place in Aldershot.

Officers responded to reports at 10.22pm on Sunday, 26th July, after a man in his thirties was punched on Victoria Road.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of a serious head injury.

Following investigations, officers have charged Anthony Moody, a 38-year-old from Southmead Road, Aldershot, with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Moody appeared in Southampton Magistrates Court on 1st August, where he was remanded into custody.

He is next scheduled to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 2nd September.
