Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Lowestoft at the weekend.

Officers were called at 12.30am yesterday morning, Sunday 2 February, to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A12 Tom Crisp Way involving a white Mini One and a red Fiat 500.

Ambulance and fire crews were also in attendance and the drivers of both cars – a man and a woman - sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

A woman who was the front-seat passenger in the Fiat was also injured, though this was less serious than the other two casualties.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to get in touch with police.
