Tribute issued to man who died in Reydon collision
47-year-old identified as Joe Bullen from Barnet
The family of a man who tragically died in a road traffic collision in Reydon has issued a tribute to him.
Joe Bullen, a 47-year-old from Barnet in north London, sadly lost his life on 25th November when the grey Ford Focus he was driving left the carriageway on the A1095 Halesworth Road and was found on its side.
Emergency services attended the scene shortly after 5.50pm, but Mr Bullen was declared deceased at the scene.
Subject to confirmation at the forthcoming inquest, Mr Bullen has been formally identified.
His family has shared heartfelt words about his life, describing him as “kind and gentle” and remembering his creative talents and sense of humour.
“A tragic accident on 25 November has taken our much-loved son, brother and partner, Joe, whilst he was driving from Barnet to Reydon - a place he knew well and dearly loved. He was so nearly there,” the family said.
“Joe will be remembered with great fondness for his kind and gentle nature and willingness to be a friend to everyone he met. His creative spirit shone through in his work and all of his wide-ranging interests, whether it be carpentry and building things, playing the piano, violin and guitar or driving the Caterham, that he built with his Dad.”
The family expressed gratitude towards emergency services for their rapid response at the scene and reflected on Joe’s love for Suffolk and the countryside.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are asking drivers who were in the area on 25th November to check their dashcam footage for anything that may be helpful.
