Police appeal after a hate-motivated assault in Lowestoft

A woman reports being approached by a man who verbally abused her and then spat in her face.

Police are appealing for witnesses or information after a hate-motivated assault was reported in Lowestoft.

The incident took place at around 10:10am on Thursday 21 August at London Road North in the town, near to Lloyds Bank.

The victim sustained a cut to her knee and shoulder as a result.

The suspect is described as a white man, mid 40s, approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing a navy coloured long sleeved top with a red stripe on the arm, denim jeans and a navy Nike cap.
