Palestine action protesters charged with criminal damage
The pair are due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today
Two women are due in court this morning charged with criminal damage in Brandon, related to a Palestine Action protest.
Shortly after 6:50am on Tuesday (1 July) police responded to reports of a group of people on the roof of a property, with some spraying paint on the building and smashing windows.
The incident was safely resolved by 9pm.
Two women were arrested at the scene on suspicion of criminal damage.
Amy Westray, aged 23 has been charged with:
- Having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, namely a crowbar, hammer and paint
- Criminal damage
- Trespassing on land with the intention of obstructing/disrupting lawful activity
Millie Gordon, aged 21 has been charged with:
- Having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, namely a crowbar and hammer
- Criminal damage
- Trespassing on land with the intention of obstructing/disrupting lawful activity
The pair are due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 3 July.
