Lowestoft man charged with murder in connection with 2019 incident

A 65 year-old man has been charged with murder, in connection with an incident in Lowestoft, which occurred almost seven years ago.

Police were called just after 11.35pm on Monday 9 September 2019, to reports that a woman had been attacked at a property on Victoria Road.

On arrival at the premises, officers discovered 39 year-old Sarah Crush inside who had suffered a serious head injury. She was transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, via air ambulance, for treatment.

Sarah remained in hospital and other healthcare settings requiring 24-hour care, before dying on 21 December 2025, aged 45.

Stephen Crush, formerly of Lowestoft, appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 5 June, charged with murder.

Crush was remanded in custody, pending an appearance before Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday 9 June.
