An Ipswich man has been given a jail sentence after he was found with over 1 kilogram of drugs.

Police in Suffolk secured a warrant to search a property on Belstead Avenue in March and found 25-year-old Benjamin Tigges with 600 grams of cocaine, as well as 1.1 kilogram of cannabis.

On top of this, a total of £50,000 in cash was found and seized during the raid, which also involved a second, unnamed address.

Investigations into Tigges found that he was supplying cocaine around the Ipswich area, as well as other towns such as Stowmarket and Hadleigh.

At a court appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Wednesday (July 9th), Tigges was given a prison sentence of three years and four months after he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs, being concerned in the supply cocaine and possession criminal property.

Suffolk Police has since urged anyone who may suspect a possible criminal network near where they are to get in touch and report the incident to officers as soon as possible.
